Open Thread: YARPP Stats Update 2023

If you visit a lot of blogs, you may have noticed “related posts” at the bottom of current posts, inviting you down a rabbit hole of content that in theory will also interest you. The plugin I use to create that selection is YARPP, and back in 2020, I went through and found out which posts got the most incoming links. It’s been three years since then, so I decided to do it again.

Anthologies still top the list thanks to having a lot of tags in common with each other and also solo works. The ones that were tops last time remain there, but are proportionately less dominating than they were, due to new anthologies drawing off some of the links. Series where I reviewed more than one of the same thing tended to perform strongly. And since I’ve started being much more proactive about reviewing movies since 2019, more of those have joined the list at at least ten incoming links.

Again from last time, several of the top performers in this category are not among the posts that are most popular or that draw people to my blog. They just have a lot in common with posts that do.

Let’s look at the list!
